workshops continued in collaboration with Be\u015fikta\u015f Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In these idea development workshops, we address critical topics to ensure the more active participation of sensitive groups and disadvantaged individuals from all segments of society in urban life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We focused on the following three main topics in the social inclusion workshops held in Ey\u00fcpsultan, Sultanbeyli, Fatih, Sultangazi, Ata\u015fehir, and Be\u015fikta\u015f Municipalities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Identifying disadvantaged groups in the districts and determining their basic needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The most effective or innovative supports that the municipality can offer to these groups and potential improvements in existing programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing the impact of existing social aid and support programs for these groups and further developing cooperation with non-governmental organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>DISADVANTAGED GROUPS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Be\u015fikta\u015f is the second district municipality with the oldest population in Istanbul (after Kad\u0131k\u00f6y), hence +65 and +65 living alone;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University students struggling with urban poverty and housing issues;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Families with low socio-economic status (such as those in Karanfilk\u00f6y and T\u00fcrkali);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Similar intersectional clusters (women, disabled, +65) as in every district are generally the most disadvantaged groups in Be\u015fikta\u015f Municipality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>MAIN FOCUS POINTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Localizing data with neighborhood-based mapping (socio-economic status can vary significantly from neighborhood to neighborhood),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breaking the perception of &#8220;we are young&#8221;
