{"id":16457,"date":"2023-01-18T13:13:16","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T10:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ingev.org\/?p=16457"},"modified":"2023-01-18T17:32:16","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T14:32:16","slug":"precariat-are-we-aware-of-the-danger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ingev.org\/en\/news\/precariat-are-we-aware-of-the-danger\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Precariat&#8221;: Are we Aware of the Danger?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ActHuman Social Inclusion Initiative, which has been in cooperation with INGEV and Sabanc\u0131 University Istanbul Policy Center for five years, aims to offer solutions to the widespread problem of precarity in T\u00fcrkiye with its &#8220;Precariat and Social Security&#8221; Report.<\/p>\n<p>The report, prepared by Prof. Sarphan Uzuno\u011flu after a series of research, states that precarious work, defined as an unpredictable and risky form of work, is becoming a global norm with every passing year. The problem of precarity in T\u00fcrkiye and the social and economic problems that may arise on the axis of the expanding \u201cprecariat\u201d are defined. Policies that can be produced are opened to discussion.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 9 million people are estimated to be working unregistered in T\u00fcrkiye and 1 million people are working under temporary protection. Youth unemployment is around 5.5 million. We can add to these numbers of people who have been excluded from social and economic life, and people who have been isolated from working life on legal grounds.
